Royally-bred Thoroughbred by Kentucky Derby winner Bold Venture, out of Triple Crown producer Quickly. Depth Charge (TB) was a Thoroughbred who ran like a Quarter Horse.
After a rather undistinguished racing career, he retired to stud at King Ranch in Texas where he sired Quarter racing champions, stakes winners and leading sires and producers.
