This is a really nice 13 year old Black mare. She has been tested through UC Davis to be homozygous for the black gene (E/E, a/a). What does this mean? This means that she cannot produce a red colored foal no matter what she is bred to. She is currently being bred to Preferred Platinum which means that she will have a 50% chance of having a gray foal and 50% chance of having a black foal, - and either colored foal would be welcome with the build that both parents have! Zippo is 14.3 hands tall and has a classic foundation-type Quarter Horse build. She is easy to handle and did we mention.... GREAT to ride! She is sound and great on trails. This mare is truly a nice treat. Easy to ride and handle, and will produce a beautiful AQHA foal. You can ride her up until the last month or so of foaling. Then again, after the foal is born! $3000
